Booking and playing guidance
Updated 10 April 2021
Guidelines for using the green
- Bowlers should only partake alone, or with members of your household, or with people from one other household outside your household, while practising social distancing. Two groups/games only are allowed on the green at a time, with no more than eight people in total and a maximum of four people per game. The people in any individual game must come from no more than two households.
- Only Club members allowed on the Green. This means that if you have not yet paid your Subs for 2021 you will not be able to play the Green. Members who have not paid can do so in line with instructions already received.
- Club buildings and toilets to remain closed. Nobody should enter the clubhouse for any purpose whatsoever and anybody doing so may have their right to use the green withdrawn.
- Only use your equipment brought from home (jacks, mats, bowls etc.). Sterilise equipment before and after use. Jacks should only be used by Members of the same household so where 2 households are playing in a game they will need to use their own Jacks. Club equipment must not be used.
- Keep strict social distancing measures in place - you must remain at a safe distance (2 metres) from people outside of your household.
- Follow strong hygiene practices at every opportunity - wash your hands when you get home
Please ensure you take with you everything you need to play and appropriate protection, such
as face mask, gloves, hand gel.

How to book
The following from Club Secretary Trevor Clarke explains the new system:
Following a relaxation in the Welsh Government guidelines I am (very) delighted to say that I am able to scrap the Green Booking system as it currently operates. I will be publishing the list for next week on the Web Site but there is no need to book from now onwards.
The replacement is the NHS track and trace booking system which allows you to use your Mobile Phone to book into the Green. Details are here with instructions on how to use the system:
https://covid19.nhs.uk
If you do not already have the app, please download it - instructions are on the link.
The poster to be used to log in is on the outside notice board, there are also posters on the pylon by the rain shelter on the Church side and on the car park gate (although how long that lasts must be questionable). I have tested the system and it works so can we please bring it into use with immediate effect.
If you do not own a mobile phone, you will need to advise your attendance on the Green by using the contact details in the old booking system but this should not be used as an alternative system and I will be most displeased if it is. Texting me details of attendance will be something of a give away!
The rule of 4 ends only on the Green including a maximum of 2 pairs ends which must be from only 2 separate households remains.
