A warm welcome
The club is always open to new members, who are assured of a warm welcome. And, if you are new to bowls and would like to "try before you buy", read about our tuition for novices, below. The membership year starts on 1 April, and the green opens in March. Would-be members should complete the application form (see below) and follow its instructions, or contact the club secretary using the contact button on this site.
New to Bowls
Each Spring, the club offers free taster sessions for anyone who wants to try their hand at crown green bowling. Those who enjoy their session can then move on and pay £12 for four weekly tuition sessions. And, if they decide to then join the club (and most do) the £12 is deducted from their first membership fee. This year's sessions have now finished but anyone interested in joining can still contact the club secretary.
Fees
Membership fees for 2019 are listed below. Fees for 2020 will be decided at the club's AGM held in February 2020.
Full playing member £55 (unlimited access to the clubhouse and the green)
Social member £5.50 (access to social events, but not the green)*
Junior (17 or under) member £5.50 (access as full playing members)
* Partners of playing members become social members free of charge
